Formed in the summer of 2006, Waking Charred is variously a 4- or 5-piece ensemble of instrumentalists from Portsmouth, England. Having played together for some years the band finally broke the seal on its live performance in mid-2009 and have not looked back since. Gigs with some of post-rock's heavy hitters and plenty more with members of the thriving local scene have given the band a new lease of life and as such recording and mastering for the debut EP 'Await Rescue' is firmly under weigh. Expect a release in late July, and in the meantime keep an eye out for live shows near you!
